Denver Pop Festival/Mile High Stadium/Denver,CO/June 29,1969

"Tax Free" (very ending fades out)
"Hear My Train A Comin'"
"Fire"
"Spanish Castle Magic"
"Red House" (very beginning cut)
"Foxy Lady"
"Star Spangled Banner"/"Purple Haze" (incomplete)

time-61:57

This tape begins with some tuning up by the JHE. Jimi dedicates the show to "the people that brought their birthday suits".

The band begins with a highly exploratory 13 minute "Tax Free". A hard-hitting "Hear My Train A Comin'" shows up next. Jimi dedicates "Fire" to "the girl with the yellow underwear" and "plainclothesmen and other goofballs".

"Spanish Castle Magic" contains a drum solo starting around the 6 minute mark. After "Red House" Jimi announces "this is the last time we're playing in the states".

During "Star Spangled Banner" and "Purple Haze" some tape anomalies become very evident. This leads to "Purple Haze" cutting off prematurely.

This is an enjoyable above-average audience recording of what turned out to be the last concert by the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
