Unusually the JHE begins this show with "Hear My Train A Comin'". Before the song even starts,Jimi plays some frantic unaccompanied guitar. This version is highly recommended.

"Fire" lasts for less than a minute before Jimi abandons the song structure in favor of a jam. Around the 3:50 mark, Mitch jumps in with a solo. When the solo mellows out,Jimi quietly arrives with the "Spanish Castle Magic" melody. This morphs into a full-tilt version of the "Axis:Bold as Love" classic.

A very fine 11 minute "Red House" comes next. Then we get a very high-energy "I Don't Live Today" which concludes with some radio interference.

After the crowd pleasing "Foxy Lady" and "Purple Haze" comes a highly exploratory "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)". After about 8 minutes Jimi goes on a musical journey of new ideas while still keeping one foot on "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)".

This is a very enjoyable audience tape. Jimi's guitar dominates the overall sound.
